Cats feelings

          How do cats show their feelings?


L.I.- We are learning to write an explanation.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I can write a question in the heading, an introduction to tell about  the topic, and series of points telling how and why it is important?
Angry
When cats are angry they show their feelings by hissing when I tease them. They are growling at other people and spit at them When they fight other cats they scratch their fur. When cats smell nice food they snatch the food from people who buy shopping. 
Frightened
When cat are frightened they show their feeling by crouching.When I splash the water on cats and scaring them in the kitchen, cats hisses.   
Happy When cat are happy they show their feelings when I tickle their tummy they purr. They cuddle themselves when they go to sleep.  When I pull a yarn in the floor they chase and play with it. Do you know cats are the most smart information you know.

                               Jump Rope For Heart
On Friday me and Veronica skipped double skipping and we did skipping running. Room 2 and 1 did skipping as well. Mrs Twomey and I hold the skipping rope so that a person can jump and skip over the moon fast to 3. And Room 7 practice skipping  around the court. Me Veronica, Angelina, Ana maria, Roneeza and Kena we were doing double dutch Angelina Anamaria Roneeza jumped andd they stopped.

 Then I skipped by my own without Veronica I tried to practice doing the criss cross but 3 I did it. Christopher said'' Today I'm challenging you to a fancy skipping so come join us. And all of us were skipping me and veronica were double skipping and we went back to Mrs Twomey.

Later on that Room 5L and Room 7 finish doing Jump Rope For Heart and Mrs Twomey takes a video and Miss Chao for Room 5L then we skipped all around. Room 5L  and 7 went and and Room 5L.

Problem:
Martin has 10 plants and wants to put the same number of plants in 2 pots. How many plants will be in each pots? What fraction will be in each pots?
I know its 5 because 1 x 5=5 or I skip count in 5 5,

Rubbish Monster-By Mo'onia

        How to Make Rubbish Monster
Learning Intention: W.A.L.T.- write an instruction 
Success Criteria: I know I am successful when I can write instruction in order how to make a rubbish monster.

Materials: 2 plastic 1 paper cup 4 wooden forks bamboo Skewers sticky tape scissors glue toothbrush crayons paper.

Steps in making the Rubbish Monster                                                

1. Collect the materials.

2. Tape two cups together.

3. Make a hole using a stick for the flag.

4. Stick wooden forks on to the rubbish monster.

5. Draw the eyes and mouth and colour it.

6. Cut the paper bowl and put it on top of the plastic cups.

7. Now you have a Rubbish Monster.

Should we cut down Trees Or Not?

I think people should not cut down tree

Trees breathe out oxygen because we breathe from them. They have fruits because we pick them to eat. We do not want to cut down trees because we need it to grow. It needs to stay healthy. Trees can not be cut down because their wont be any trees.

Who Hoo! Mission Day is fun!

On Mission Day our class went to church to pray and sang songs . After that we went to the classroom to finish our story writing. When the bell rang all the teachers got the tables ready for Mission Day but they are not selling yet.

Next they started to sell. My mum, brother and I went to buy cakes. I picked the chocolate ring cake, my brother choose the donuts and cupcakes. After that we went to buy lollies, they were delicious. I went to the Lucky dip and I bought a big one. When I opened the parcel, it was Christmas cards. I went to get my face painted for $1. I waited for 80 minutes to get it done. I chose a pink heart and when I looked at the camera my face paint was pretty.

Before lunch my mum and I went to buy raffle tickets. The lunch bell rang I ate my sausage sizzle, it was yummy. We went to Room 8 to watch the movie. It was cool . Lastly we went outside for the raffle draw. Some kids won the Lego and boxes of food. I did not win anything but 8 of my classmates won.

Athletics Day

Learning Intention: We are learning to write a recount.
Success Criteria:

Hooray! Athletics Day is so much fun!


Last Friday my mum and brother and I went to school for athletics day. First all the girls and me got changed to PE and had to put on sunscreen. First was the kindergarten kids first was the girls we all cheered for them. Then it was the boys turn. Next we all the classes sat down so they can be put into teams. I was in Green. 

Next it was the 5 yr old. The boys ran fast as they could. Next was the girls turn to run when the whistle blow someone won the race I didn't know who won. After that all that races it was time for my race. I ran fast then Tyrah went past me but luckily I was 2nd place. 



Later on at lunch my mum and I had chips for lunch. I played with my friends. When the bell rang all the classes sat and cheered for kauri and totora. Then it was rimu and rata I cheered for rata. Rata beated rimu. After that it was kauri and rata, kauri was winning and beated the rata. Then Mrs Bullot called who was the winner of tug of war and racing. The winner of the tug of war was kauri. Then the winner of the races is rata.

Water Cycle Evaporation

Learning Intention: We are learning to use information we gathered about water cycle.

Hello there ! I am a raindrop. I am swimming in the sea. Then, something happen, the sun shines on me. I turn to a gas. Then I started to float up to the sky. I saw lots of clouds up in the sky.

Evaporation
I floated up and saw lots of raindrops and I saw lots of clouds gathering together.

Condensation
I saw lots of droplets gathering to me and to a big cloud then we had to many droplets then some of them fell even me.

Precipitation 
I fell into the mountain and roll and roll until I met everyone I was really good to be back there

Run-Off
I met everyone and we kept rolling and rolling until we landed in the biggest water it was big and big we were flowing and we never stopped.

The Park

L.I.- We are learning to write a recount.
S.C.- I am successful when I paragraphs in order using capital letters and full stops.

In the holidays my Dad and brothers and I walked to the Park. I saw boys playing Rugby. Then we walked away we climbed over the fence down the field. Dad told us to go see the view of the beach. I saw the water it was polluted I saw a big drain polluted water coming out. I saw a ball I got it and tried to kick it to the goal it got in.

After that I saw my cousin I went to him and said Do you want to go to the park with me. He said Hes dad won't let him go to the park. So me and my cousins I went Sione and Patrick we ran to the park. I got on the swing and push to make speed. Sione and I watched people playing touch. Some kids came to the park with us even my brothers too. My friend Petra pushed me on the swing really high. It was really fun

Then I ran to get my bottle back everybody went in their cars and went they said do you need a ride we said we will walk home. We started to walk home when we got there my Mum and dad went to buy us Mac Donald's. When they got home we came to get the shopping inside. We ate our Mac Donald's it was really delicious.

Success Criteria:

Yes
I am in Year 5 and I think children should do homework because they will get an A+. They keep you good at reading. The teacher will be proud of your homework that you finished. Homework is good because they make you smart at what your reading.

No
I am in year 5 and I think children should not do homework because homework is boring for us. We will get an F- because its hard for people to do it. Children are lazy to do their homework because they will not be able to move to the top group.
